Important Market Updates-

Due to metals volatility the market is currently backlogged with sellers, leading higher volume dealers (to whom we move surplus inventory) to quote us payment times of at least 30-60 days out. As a result we must factor this inability to easily "flip" surplus inventory into our buying decisions. At the time of this posting, we are looking at all buy offers on a case by case basis. Please call or email us to discuss what you have and what we are currently buying before attempting to bring things into the store.

As of this writing, We ARE buying 1 ounce, 5 ounce and 10 ounce .999 silver rounds and bars as well as uncirculated Silver Eagles. All items must be in resaleable "retail friendly" condition... no cleaned, polished, damaged, scratches, milky spots, or corrosion. Problem coins will either be rejected or heavily discounted. Also buying circulated pre-1921 Morgans- again, no cleaned or damaged. Brar in mind that we need to be able to resell these and cannot easily flip the rejects.

We are NOT buying 1971 or newer non-silver proof sets or mint sets, nor are we buying any modern US silver commemoratives or foreign non precious metal coins. We also do not buy (at any time) US moderns like state quarters/national park quarters/American women quarters, Susan B.Anthony/Sacagawea/Presidential/American Innovation dollars, non silver Eisenhower dollars or any modern "internet errors" you see hyped on social media or on coin apps.

Due to increased traffic we will not be scheduling any large estate or bank appraisals until mid January at the earliest. Call us for details.

We prefer that all evaluations of things you wish to sell are done by appointment. All items need to be at least minimally organized and sorted by type to expedite the process....if the items are just thrown together into a large unsorted pile,bag, box, etc. they may be declined if we do not have time to go through them, or you may opt to leave them with us until we have time to get to them (which frankly might be quite a while). Smaller deals of just a few items...you can roll the dice on a walk-in basis but will have to wait until we finish with existing customers and appointment holders. Unsorted deals and large collection deals coming in without an appointment will likely be declined due to time constraints and will need to be scheduled.

Sorry if this all sounds a bit regimented but we are frankly getting slammed with buy offers so we need to manage time efficiently, as well as try to make it easier for you to not have to potentially be waiting in a line.

We do not write up or hand out copies of on-the-spot verbal offers to buy; due to market volatility all verbal offers expire once you leave the store. For written appraisals, see below.

WRITTEN APPRAISALS: If you are not necessarily selling and just want or need an appraisal in writing, be it for estate or insurance purposes, need to approve with relatives or heirs, or just for your own knowledge, please say so up front.

a) If it's literally just a couple of items we won't usually charge a fee... otherwise we charge a nominal fee based on our time spent. Said fee is disclosed up front and you must agree before we begin. Finished appraisal does not change hands until fee is paid in good funds. Exceptions to this are for trust/estate departments of known financial institutions where we mail invoice and appraisal to same.
b) All appraisals must be scheduled, no exceptions, and we need to know beforehand exactly how much material is involved.
c) We may not be able to appraise while you wait depending on how much material is involved.
d) The appraised values will be valid only as of the date of the appraisal and are not "locked in" or considered as an offer to buy unless clearly stated otherwise in the appraisal. If you are charged an appraisal fee and decide to sell to us, the fee will be refunded if we buy the items within 7 calendar days of the date of the appraisal, otherwise the fee is non-refundable.
e) Estate appraisals involving values as of date of death and insurance appraisals are obviously just charged a nonrefundable time based fee.

***One Final Note: This should be common sense but unfortunately due to past issues we must post it here...When you come in, PLEASE do NOT pour coins or place any heavy containers, boxes, or bags of coins on top of our glass showcases. This is clearly posted in our store and is for your safety. We are not responsible for injuries from glass breakage and having been warned with signs clearly posted, you assume responsibility and liability for any damage caused. Ignoring, arguing or debating this policy will result in our declining to look at your items. Thanks for your understanding.
